THE MORNING OF BO
About
The Morning of Bo is a top-down adventure game where you are a farmer whose crops are suddenly being eaten by corrupted animals. Find out what has been corrupting them and save your farm.
This game was our fifth game project at The Game Assembly and it was made in TGA's in-house game engine TGE over 8 weeks halftime.
MY CONTRIBUTIONS
Level import & export from Unity
Once again, I was responsible for writing the script that exports the level from Unity to the school's in-house game engine.
Since I had already worked on this in Cyber Slash, I could develop it further. This time the designers could add dialogues to the NPC’s and place interactable items in the world.
Stairs
Since we were making a top-down game we decided to manage collisions in 2 dimensions. However, we still wanted the player to be able to traverse the world up and down.
This came with issues, but we ultimately made it work with stairs connecting the different levels and keeping track of the height of the player.
